Weapos;ve unpacked more than half our stuff (we kinda have to - this house has tons of storage, but itapos;s almost all visible storage (the old house had a big olapos; attic, otherwise unusable, that we [stupidly] jammed full oapos; random stuff).

The nurseryapos;s done. The kitchenapos;s 90 done. The dining roomapos;s as done as itapos;s gonna be without more storage. The master and guest bedrooms are 75 done. The bathrooms are mostly done. The basementapos;s 50done (unpacking all the boxes there isnapos;t a high priority). The office is planned, but not done yet apos;cause we need more storage (we plan to buy file cabinets this weekend). The books are 75 unpacked, which is one of the more comforting things Iapos;ve seen recently (although everythingapos;s crammed willy-nilly apos;cause we donapos;t have time to be oapos;ganized just yet).

We havenapos;t started the living room, but I consider that the fun one, apos;cause thatapos;s when we get to unpack the CDs and DVDs that have been packed away. Itapos;ll take a while before we get the stereo all hooked up, apos;cause itapos;s a pain in the tuchis, and neither of us is adept with it.

The electrician has installed baseboard heat in Teddyapos;s playroom, run the cable from one side of the house to the other, and added an outlet for the deep freezer and lots of light to the basement. Heapos;s coming back next week to do GFIs and fix the doorbells. He doesnapos;t like to put in programmable thermostats, so Iapos;ll have to find someone else for that.

The plumberapos;s coming next week to fix a vent pipe and install a disposer. He doesnapos;t do tankless hot-water heaters, so I have to find someone else for that.*

The other cable company is supposedly coming on Monday (it was going to be yesterday or Monday, and it sure wasnapos;t yesterday) to hook us up to the interwebs.

Weapos;ve been to the grocery store, the hardware store, and the bagel store.

Iapos;ve transferred my prescriptions and completed paperwork for the move, purchase, and sale.

Peterapos;s run at least a dozen load of laundry. Iapos;ve organized the kitchen and planned the office and dining room.

We need to buy a bunch of file cabinets, a bookcase, a buffet/sideboard, CD storage (eventually - what we have will suffice for now), desk tops (one for the office, one for the basement), towel hooks, a surge protector, two push plates, spice shelves, a coat rack, and the aforementioned disposer.

I need to call the roofer with questions, another plumber about the hot-water heater, the driveway guy to seal the driveway (sellerapos;s paying for that one), the yard guy about whatapos;s pre-paid and what weapos;ll have to pay for, a chimney sweep, a handyman, and a massage therapist. Especially the massage therapist.

* Notice a theme here? Iapos;m hoping itapos;s not the general way of the world, Westa Wusta. The electrician is definitely a weird guy, though he does very good work. I gave him a prioritized list, which heapos;s methodically working his way through in the order of his own interest. If any of it were actually urgent, Iapos;d be really pissed off. Fortunately, itapos;s not urgent.
